The Palm Tree Bamboo Curtain, copyrighted by Asli Arts Inc., provides beauty and function for home and garden. This versatile screen, painted in a vintage tropical print motif, is hand-made from hundreds of bamboo tubes that are wired and strung from a wooden top bar. Useful as a walk-through barrier between indoors and outdoors, they screen out unwanted pests, birds and harsh sunlight while letting in fresh air. They are also great for interior doorways, hung from a ceiling to create a room divider or visual barrier, as full-length window shade or as a decorative screen in outdoor garden structures like gazebos or archways. Asli Arts curtains are made entirely by hand in Vietnam. Our craftsmen start by cutting thin pieces of bamboo which are boiled, dried and then carefully threaded with wire to create a single, tapering strand of bamboo which in then attached to a wooden top piece. After the base curtain is finished, our skilled Vietnamese artists individually paint each curtain using tiny sponge paintbrushes to cover each strand of bamboo completely. The resulting image has a holographic effect, swaying in a breeze and emitting a gentle, relaxing sound reminiscent of raindrops. Asli Arts bamboo door curtains measure 34.5" wide by 79" tall.
